Conference Translation for Alternative Construction Materials Symposium
The "Alternative Material Solutions for Sustainable Construction Development" symposium was more than just a gathering of experts; it was a journey through time, narrating the evolution of construction materials. Our English-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-English interpreting team was especially thrilled to collaborate with WWF and leading figures in this specialized field.

The mortar mixing techniques of ancient Rome, or the use of steel in modern architecture – each phase represents a pivotal moment in the history of construction materials.
In Vietnam, from wooden houses to projects using composite materials and reinforced concrete, each material embodies a story of culture and technology.
Organized by the Institute for Building Materials (VIBM) and the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam), this event brought together hundreds of delegates, leading speakers, and pioneering businesses in the industry.

Presided over by the Deputy Director of the Department of Building Materials, Ministry of Construction, the specialized conference was divided into in-depth sessions. The Director of the Center for Equipment, Environment and Occupational Safety, Institute for Building Materials presented on "Call for financial and technical support for the implementation of circular economy and low emissions in the construction industry in Vietnam." A representative from DEEP C Company presented on practical solutions in the industry. The Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, Germany spoke online about "Sustainable alternatives to river sand in the South: Discoveries, opportunities, challenges and prospects." This presentation really put interpreter Khang Nguyen through his paces, with many in-depth terms, and all while working remotely with a less than stellar internet connection.
