Interpreting for forum “Shaping the future of Fintech Vietnam”
AKT interpreters were invited to work at the 24th Vietnam ICT Conference (Vietnam ICT Outlook-VIO 2019) on “Shaping the Future of Fintech Vietnam ”
Preparing for presentation at technology workshops is a good thing as you can learn new things. For example, Fintech is a new term in English, merging finance and technology (Fintech refers to the introduction of technology into financial services companies' products to enhance their use and customer delivery. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/f/fintech.asp).
The seminar was co-organized by Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) and Fintech Academy Singapore (FTA), Vietnam Banking Association (VNBA) and Banking Technology Development Research Institute, National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) -IBT).
VIO 2019 was one key event in information and communication technology held annually, for technology companies , financial technology companies, banks and businesses, regulators, associations, experts, and scientists. They came together to share opportunities , challenges and solutions to promote the development of digital ecosystems of finance and banking.
In Vietnam, Fintech companies are growing, with 170 companies focusing on three main services: payment, peer-to - peer lending and crowdfunding.
Mr. Tran Dinh Cuong, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Ho Chi Minh City Branch, said that developing a digital banking model is a trend going forward. Currently, the State Bank has established a Fintech steering committee, responsible for advising, researching and developing strategies and legal framework.
