Excellent interpreters at “Integrity and Trust in the Consulting and Engineering Industry”

In the time that lockdown and safety measures still remain in effect, webinars or teleconferences become the first choice of many organizations and businesses. Phien Dich Vien by AKT was asked to translate for a variety of webinars and online seminars.

In July 2020, webinar “Integrity and Trust in the Consulting and Engineering Industry” was held by Power Engineering and Consulting JS Company 3 (PECC3) with the supports of the FIDIC Integrity Management Committee and FIDIC Future Leaders Committee.

In the webinar, leading experts and engineers shared their experience in the implementation of  projects, and their thoughts on the impact of integrity and trust on the performance and the quality. 3 hours of the webinar, accompanied by the excellent interpreting of AKT team, brought about a number of meaningful insights including:

- Integrity and trust as PECC3 core value

- The role of consulting engineers as trusted advisors.

- FIDIC Guidelines for Integrity Management System (FIMS)

- Integrity and Trust for Future Leaders Consulting Engineers

Regarding the concept of “trust advisor”, FIDIC believes “the business relationship that consulting engineering firms strive to create with their clients is that of trusted advisors” and “consulting engineers who are seen as reliable and responsible, with a reputation for honoring their commitments, are seen by clients to be worthy service providers”.

About FIDIC Integrity Management System (FIMS), it is a management tool designed to protect consulting firms from corruption and possible integrity breaches. FIDIC Pilot Program was also mentioned. This program was initiated at the 2010 FIDIC Conference, aimed to provide “road-testing” for FIMS development.

In the presentation by FIDIC Future Leaders Committee, it underscored the importance of providing future leaders with the opportunity to contribute and develop the future of the Consulting Engineering Industry.
