Attending the Swiss Delegation's visit to the Mekong Delta was a remarkable experience. The event kicked off with a detailed presentation on the Mekong Climate Resilience Program (MCRP) at the Ben Tre Riverside Resort, setting the stage for in-depth discussions on sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS), local regulations on drainage and wastewater management, and the development of provincial disaster risk management plans.
Conducted in both consecutive and simultaneous formats, and taking place in the conference room and outdoors, the event required seasoned interpreters to handle the complexity and ensure smooth communication. I had the pleasure of translating complex technical discussions and facilitating communication between Swiss delegates and local Vietnamese authorities.
