The Netherlands and Vietnam signed two strategic partnership agreements in 2014: one on sustainable agriculture and food security, and one on water management and climate change. The Netherlands is Vietnam's largest investor and third-largest trading European partner. The Netherlands and Vietnam have a strong strategic partnership, particularly in the fields of sustainable agriculture and water management.
The AKT team was proud to have completed the task of bridging the language barrier between two countries, and we were pleased that our efforts will contribute to economic, cultural, and social development.
The webinar “Agriculture and Circular Economy in the Mekong Delta – Challenges and Opportunities” was attended by the Consulate General of the Netherlands, the Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED), the Business Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Products, and many others. The workshop emphasized the Mekong Delta's importance in the Vietnamese economy and its potential in agricultural and food production, as well as the challenges and opportunities in implementing a circular agricultural economy focused on high-quality products.
The webinar provided the two countries with an understanding of the Mekong Delta's potentials and challenges, as well as the critical role of the circular agricultural economy in Vietnam. As a result, these factors contribute to the formation of a groundwork for Dutch companies to invest in Vietnam.
