Interpreting at PROSAFE Food Safety Forum
A multi-disciplinary Food Safety Forum covering agriculture, production and trade, where AKT interpreters performed for the topic “Challenges and Coping Strategies for the Agri-food sector in the Time of COVID-19”.
A hybrid meeting held both on-site and on webinar, recently referred to as Hybrid, this event got the input from AKT professional interpreters on effective coordination for success.
At present, Viet Nam’s agricultural sector is under impact by Covid-19, which gave rise to challenges to the processing industry, as Vietnam is among the five countries most affected by climate change, with imminent threats to industrial production and raw materials.
The Forum provided and updated organizations, associations and enterprises in agriculture specifically, revised plans for continued post-Covid development.
The forum was attended by 30 enterprises in manufacturing, processing, trade, and import-export of agricultural products in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces such as Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Tien Giang among others. The on-site experience-learning exchanges dealt with the aforementioned challenges, and simultaneously addressed existing pro-business policies and support during the pandemic.
PROSAFE was initiated to assist with enhancing competence for agriculture and food safety regulators in both public and private sectors in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
The Project was aimed to enhance expertise on food safety, simultaneously assisting in applying suitable food safety regulations and standards for market penetration at home and abroad.
