AKT Translation at FIATA World Congress 2025
The Phien Dich Vien by AKT team is proud to have been selected to provide interpretation for the Plenary Session of the FIATA World Congress 2025 and the International Press Conference.
The FIATA World Congress is the largest annual event in the global logistics industry. This year's congress marks FIATA's 99th anniversary and is also the first time Vietnam has hosted the event.
The 99th annual session of the Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA World Congress), held for the first time in Vietnam.
Our Phien Dich Vien by AKT team traveled to reach the venue, leaving behind memorable experiences at two sessions that set three records for the global FIATA World Congress (according to information announced by the VLA Chairman), including the longest press conference, thus contributing to an important milestone in the logistics industry.
According to the World Economic Forum in Davos, logistics and transportation currently account for more than one third of total global CO₂ emissions, a figure that is both a wake-up call and a call to action for the entire industry to embark on an unprecedented green revolution.
Regarding Vietnam's ambitious targets, there are ambitions for logistics to contribute around 6–8% of national GDP by 2030.
The FIATA World Congress 2025 is known to be the first annual Congress to launch a mobile app that enables B2B meeting scheduling on a digital platform
At the 2025 FIATA World Congress in Hanoi, FIATA is ready to support Vietnam’s ambitious plans. Vietnam has outlined a bold vision for its logistics sector with clear goals: reducing logistics costs from 18% to 15% of GDP, and increasing the sector’s contribution to GDP from 10% to 15–20%.
Regarding FIATA's achievements, the President stated: "I am particularly pleased that, for the first time, a woman has been nominated to join the FIATA Presidency". A critical event is the completion of the development of the insured electronic FIATA Bill of Lading (eFBL), which "will commence roll out shortly after the FIATA World Congress". FIATA also continues to actively support the work of United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) on the Negotiable Cargo Documents (NCD) Convention which reached a milestone this year with its adoption by UNCITRAL
VLA Chairman, Mr. Dao Trong Khoa, said that this year’s FIATA World Congress holds special significance: It takes place in FIATA’s 99th year—a journey spanning nearly a century of connecting global supply chains. It is also the first time Vietnam has hosted this prestigious event, welcoming over 1,000 delegates from more than 100 countries.
In this context, the theme of the Congress—“Green and Resilient Logistics”—is particularly timely. Vietnam is a bright spot in the global supply chain, with impressive import–export growth, where total trade is expected to surpass USD 800 billion in 2025. Vietnam’s logistics market is valued at approximately USD 70–80 billion, with the potential to become a new logistics hub in ASEAN. This provides a strong foundation for us to advance cooperation, technology transfer, and innovation together
