Vietnamese English Interpreter For Workshop On Greenhouse Gas Emissions In Livestock

2024/12/25

Sheraton Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City hosted a consultation workshop on the Draft Technical Regulations for Measurement, Reporting, and Verification of greenhouse gas emission mitigation in the livestock sector.

The workshop, attended by Mr. Duong Tat Thang, Director General of the Department of Livestock Production, brought together leading experts in the field. Ms. Pham Lien Anh, Program Lead of Creating Market Advisory at IFC, emphasized the crucial role of the livestock sector in addressing global climate change challenges.

As the interpretation service provider for this significant event, AKT Translation demonstrated its extensive expertise in environmental and sustainable development fields, drawing upon 23 years of experience in providing professional English-Vietnamese interpretation services.

Mr. Tran Ha Ninh, an expert from the Department of Climate Change, presented the legal framework and GHG emission reduction targets for the livestock industry. Subsequently, representatives from the Drafting Committee introduced key points of the MRV technical draft, establishing a foundation for monitoring and evaluating emission reduction measures.

Ms. Duska Sasa, IFC's International Expert, shared an international perspective on developing MRV technical regulations, highlighting the importance of applying international principles in this process.

The workshop's success further solidified AKT Translation's position as a trusted partner in interpretation services, providing comprehensive interpretation booths, headsets, and professional bilingual MCs for both online and offline events.

During the discussion session, industry enterprises contributed valuable insights to the draft, particularly regarding specialized terminology such as MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification), GHG (Greenhouse Gas), and carbon mitigation measures. These terms require deep understanding of both English and Vietnamese to ensure accurate technical communication.

Industry stakeholders engaged in meaningful discussions about implementing effective MRV systems, demonstrating the sector's commitment to environmental sustainability. The workshop highlighted the importance of accurate measurement and reporting mechanisms in achieving Vietnam's emission reduction goals.
