Interpretation for industrial zone events
At the "Mekong Delta – A New Wellspring of Breakthrough Growth" workshop, jointly organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park, the AKT interpretation team was once again entrusted with the critical task of disseminating not only the VSIP Can Tho CEO's message but also sharing the success stories of foreign investors within VSIP.

Does AKT Translation offer interpretation services in the Mekong Delta?
Yes, indeed. The Mekong Delta is a familiar stomping ground for our team of English-Vietnamese interpreters, especially for international conferences. We regularly provide interpretation for high-level meetings, on-site fieldwork, and have extensive experience serving development organizations, as well as events hosted by Consulates and Embassies across the Mekong Delta.
The CEO of VSIP Can Tho articulated the strategic rationale behind selecting this city, highlighting its pivotal location connecting 17 million people and its role as a national logistics hub and agricultural heartland.
The VSIP Can Tho workshop program on September 23, 2025, positioned the Mekong Delta as Vietnam's "New Wellspring of Breakthrough Growth." The workshop underscored the paramount importance of "Green Investment" as a transformative solution for the region's sustainable development. Furthermore, the agenda included a dedicated presentation detailing "Why VSIP Chose Can Tho" and showcasing a success story from an enterprise within the VSIP ecosystem.
The Mekong Delta, in general, and VCCI, in particular, are well-acquainted with the AKT interpretation team. From specialized workshops in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries to aquaculture exhibitions and annual economic report announcements, AKT Translation has been honored to contribute and collaborate.
VCCI's presentation illuminated Vietnam's robust appeal for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), with registered capital in the first 8 months of 2025 reaching 26.14 billion USD, a 27.3% increase year-on-year. The Mekong Delta is emerging as a new growth frontier, thanks to its status as an agricultural powerhouse (accounting for 95% of rice exports) and its significant offshore wind power potential. A notable proposal included the benefits of merging provinces/cities (e.g., Can Tho merging with Soc Trang and Hau Giang) to forge larger economic units capable of attracting more investment and reducing logistics costs by 30-40% through new expressways.
Deloitte provided an update on investment regulations, focusing on Can Tho and its standard Corporate Income Tax (CIT) incentives. The most striking revelation was the introduction of the Investment Support Fund, which offers direct cost subsidies that transcend typical tax incentives, covering up to 50% for training and 20-30% for R&D expenses. What sets this fund apart is its explicit targeting and enhanced incentives for projects in the semiconductor and AI data center sectors, signaling Vietnam's clear high-tech trajectory.

What standards are required for interpretation at Industrial Zone events?
VSIP is a renowned name for which the AKT interpretation team has provided services on numerous occasions at international conferences. We have been present in orientation sessions, interpreted for training programs, and even at groundbreaking and opening ceremonies for new industrial zones like VSIP Ha Tinh, often attended by various government agencies and high-ranking leaders. The client's requirements for VSIP event interpretation are clear: experience, adaptability, and familiarity with high-pressure environments.
- Interpreting for Becamex IDC: Becamex IDC is Vietnam's premier industrial developer and a key shareholder in VSIP, underpinning projects with decades of profound experience. The VSIP system encompasses nearly 1,000 tenants from 30 economies across all 20 VSIP projects. The workshop included a dedicated segment to share success stories from these enterprises. A prime example is Bestway Can Tho – a global leader – which chose VSIP, investing nearly 200 million USD and generating approximately 5,000 jobs.
- Interpreting for Bestway: Mr. Evan, representing Bestway Can Tho (a multinational corporation holding one-third of the global market share for inflatable recreational products), conveyed optimism regarding Vietnam's economy. Interestingly, Bestway's initial concern revolved around the risk of severe flooding in Can Tho due to heavy rainfall. In response, VSIP demonstrated exceptional professionalism by presenting a detailed 36-step construction process for roads and underground infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the drainage system. This thoroughly assuaged Bestway's concerns, solidifying their confidence that VSIP comprehensively considers all aspects from an investor's perspective.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our clients for their unwavering trust and high regard for AKT's interpretation quality! We hope the value we bring extends beyond the confines of the workshop, truly contributing to the economic development of the region.
