The forum was an opportunity for the Company to evaluate its performance over the recent period, and a perfect setting for discussions with renowned speakers and strategic partners. Mr. Lionel Adenot, General manager of Decathlon VN, reflected on many hardships of 2020, from having to close up to 1500 worldwide stores during Covid-19’s peak to managing the supply chain disruption. Yet, he also shared his pride in all the staff’s persistence in the efforts of withstanding market volatility. Finally, he touched on the topic of environmental damage with an emphasis on carbon emission reduction.

As Decathlon’s statistics illustrated, total sales growth in 2020 was halted by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, online gross sales showed a more optimistic outlook, as the trend continued upward, indicating that consumers are increasingly making purchases online.

To attract prospective partners, Decathlon had introduced many partnership programs to bring mutual benefits, namely the Partner Autonomy Program to deliver durable performances and faster value creation. In addition, Decathlon also offered solutions for sustainable industrial performances.
