The Plastic Waste Reduction Conference, hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam, brought together industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for the nation's plastic waste crisis.

The study identified both enthusiasm and hesitation among potential users, such as recyclers, collectors, and traders, to participate in specialized online marketplaces. These digital platforms, the conference emphasized, can play a crucial role in optimizing EPR implementation by facilitating transparent and efficient trading of "secondary materials”.
