Vietnam has been a signatory of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change since 1992, the earliest of the international climate change treaties to which it has adhered. Vietnam Nam has pledged to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 at COP 26 and voluntarily participates in the REDD+ Program to reduce emissions, one of the most significant forestry-related initiatives to combat climate change. Emissions of greenhouse gases resulting from deforestation and forest degradation, sustainable forest management, and the conservation and growth of carbon stocks.

For such an event, the interpreters were required to read a large number of documents, such as scientific research papers and conference reports.

Mangroves grow and develop on intertidal sites in tropical and subtropical estuaries and coastal regions, playing an essential role in the protection and survival of people in climate-vulnerable coastal regions.
