Interpreting at the event “WOMEN WILL – Women’s power in the digital economy”

Women Will (https:/www.womenwill.com) is a Google initiative that focuses on empowering women worldwide in digital technology. Women Will helps women improve their skills, ensuring fair access to knowledge and resources.

The event was coordinated by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI-HCM) HCMC Branch in cooperation with Accelerate Vietnam Digital 4.0 (https:/digital40.withgoogle.com/)

Google launched the Accelerate Vietnam Digital 4.0 program in June 2018 to provide digital skills training for 500,000 Vietnam SME employees.

AKT was delighted to be asked to interpret in this event, part of the Digital 4.0 program series by Google Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen The Hung – VCCI-HCM's Deputy Director was optimistic about the advancement of Vietnam's digital economy, with a substantial increase in women's involvement. He drew attention to the fact that 97% of jobs today involve digital skills, and women would be left behind if they weren't well-equipped with the skills needed to stay competitive.

Whatever age we live in, women should grow self-confidence, feel proud of themselves, and make better use of digital technologies to thrive and build wealth for themselves and their communities.

The event not only updated the latest information on Vietnam and the world's digital economy, but also provided a platform to shed more light on today's women's opportunities and challenges.
