Hybrid interpretation at the 2nd Edition of India – Vietnam business connection
On the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India, a conference was held at the VCCI-HCMC in the presence of representatives from the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the General Director of the VCCI, the Embassy of Vietnam in New Delhi, the Director of the Bank of India in HCMC, and other agency and business representatives.
Vietnam is India's 4th largest trading partner in petroleum products, iron, steel and other essential commodities in the ASEAN region. This improved trade relationship has nearly quadrupled the bilateral turnover in the last decade (from 2.7 billion USD in 2010 to 9.6 billion USD in 2020), with an average annual growth rate of nearly 16%.
In addition to market overview and updates, a representative from the Bank of India in HCMC presented incentives for MSMEs seeking to partner with Indian counterparts, which include lending, remittance, and L/C, among other services.
