Interpreting at WWF Vietnam Textile program

VITAS collaborated with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to organize the Module 1 training program on “Water and Energy Auditing”. The AKT team once again took pride in being trusted as interpreters for this program.

Vietnam’s increasing participation in FTAs has led to higher competitive level  in the textile industry. To thrive in this market, businesses need to improve production techniques by focusing on energy-efficient and water-saving measures.

To help Vietnam transform the textile and apparel industry towards sustainability, WWF implemented the “Greening Viet Nam’s textile sector” initiative. This program aims to promote active participation in socio-economic transformation from the industry and local authorities, and to protect the interests of Vietnam in general and the Mekong Delta region in particular.

During the two-day training program, managers and staff of the maintenance & electromechanical department trained by energy and water auditing experts, including:

-          Mr. Sharma Devenpra - Indian expert on the Textile and dyeing industry

-          Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, Deputy Secretary-General of VITAS;

-          Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Nga, Sustainable Textile Program Manager of WWF – Vietnam

-          Instructors from the Enerteam Center
