Interpreting at seminar “Strengthening the value chain of coconut trees”

2020/06/04

The 5th Ben Tre Coconut Festival 2019, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee, featured more than 2,000 performers and various coconut celebrations. In addition to showcasing áo bà ba – a traditional Vietnamese dress, this year's festival featured a series of forums and seminars on provincial culture and lifestyle. Among them was the seminar "Strengthening coconut trees' value chain and resilience to climate change"

There are currently about 175,000 hectares of coconut plantations nationwide, primarily in the central coastal provinces and Mekong Delta. The seminar aims to provide a detailed assessment of coconut trees' potential, as well as explore ways to improve its value chain around sustainable development principles and climate change adaptation. At the seminar, representatives of ministries and other government departments, scientists and think-tank leaders shared their views on how to put the benefits of coconut-based products into play; reduce waste; promote green consumption; apply scientific knowledge and technology; highlight coconut's role in developing Ben Tre's travel and tourism industries.

It’s our pleasure to interpret in this seminar. AKT has long been known as a quality language service in Vietnam helping our clients  with successful events.
