The Coca Cola Project Summary Conference was held to review lessons learned from the IUCN's Dong Thap Project and to recommend a more appropriate approach moving forward.

Farmers were particularly enthusiastic about restoring areas for lotus and fish farming, as these alternatives provided additional income for their families, aided in livelihood stabilization, contributed to environmental preservation, and unlocked agricultural development potential.
However, the Project ran into some roadblocks - unpredictable weather, farmer incompetence in maintaining these models, a lack of consumption markets, and a volatile selling price. As a result, some viable solutions were proposed at the event, including a production loan fund and additional support from Coca Cola.
