The inauguration ceremony of the Dong Hai 1 wind farm was jointly held by the Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee and Trungnam Tra Vinh 1 Wind Power Joint Stock Company - Trungnam Group. This is Trungnam Group's first offshore wind power project, as well as Tra Vinh's largest wind farm in terms of scale and capacity.

As an old hand in simultaneous translation, specifically at the inauguration ceremonies of numerous high-profile projects nationwide, AKT team was proud to contribute to the event’s success.

Costing an investment of nearly VND5,000 billion, Dong Hai 1 comprises 25 wind turbines with a total capacity of 100 MW. All equipment used in this wind farm project is provided by Siemens Gamesa – the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer.  

Dong Hai 1 is expected to contribute roughly 330 million kWn of green energy into the mix annually. This, hence, helps achieve a more diverse and balanced energy structure, in which fossil fuel currently has a demanding share, with a view to reducing carbon emissions and contributing to the Government’s carbon neutrality goal reflected via Prime Minister’s commitments at COP26.

Additionally, this wind farm will create a big push for Tra Vinh’s sustainable economic development, assisting in the realization of "Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045”.
