The National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and the Vietnam Clean Energy Association (VCEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at this event to explore business opportunities and partnerships in the field of renewable energy between India and Vietnam.
India and Vietnam, according to Shri Prany Verma, India's Ambassador to Vietnam, are among the world's fastest-growing economies. Renewable energy has become an integral part of their energy development strategy in order to meet their sustainable development goal.
The Vietnamese government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) have issued a number of decisions and proposals, such as adopting the Feed-in-Tariff (FiT), to attract investment in the clean energy sector, according to Deepak Gupta, Honorary DG of NSEFI. As a result, Vietnam has become one of the most popular investment destinations in the world. At the same time, India is working hard to boost the country's renewable energy sector. This is an excellent opportunity for India and Vietnam to strengthen their relationship.
The Consulate General of India (CGI), the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), the Renewable Energy Promotion Association (REPA), and the Vietnam Clean Energy Association co-organized the event (VCEA).
