Tetra Pak, the world's leading food processing and packaging solutions company headquartered in Sweden with 65 years of experience, inaugurated the first ever aseptic carbon packaging material factory in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park II in the southern province of Binh Duong. This is the 8th Asia-Pacific factory.

Tetra Pak's new factory is the "greenest" factory in Tetra Pak 's system and one of Vietnam's first factories to apply the latest, most challenging environmental standards by deploying an energy monitoring system and water recycling facilities. With a total investment of EUR120 million, the factory is expected to supply 12 billion aseptic cartons per year to ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand domestic and export markets, the figure will rise to 20 billion in the future.

Pereric Högberg — Sweden's ambassador to Vietnam made a statement at the inauguration ceremony. He said Sweden was the first European country to develop bilateral relations with Vietnam, and many Swedish companies are doing well on the Vietnamese market. Tetra Pak 's latest Vietnam factory marked the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic relations.
