The online-offline webinar “Cooperation promotion: India – Khanh Hoa province” was co-organized by the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province and Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, with the attendance of the Ambassador of India to Vietnam, Consul General of India, leaderships of Khanh Hoa Province, representatives from provincial departments, associations and businesses. The goal of this event is to create a business exchange platform between Vietnamese and Indian companies in numerous sectors, namely investment, commerce, tourism, fishery processing, and water management.

Translating at such hybrid events (virtual and in-person meeting) with the high level of significance on various subjects requires the interpreter to not only have a broad multidisciplinary knowledge and navigate online meeting platforms at ease but also be quick-minded at handling the situation in case of technical issues. It is no surprise that, at some points, the interpreter has to play the role of technical coordinator, working with equipment technicians, to ensure the best audio quality and right channel for the audience. These are the attributes that make AKT’s interpreters (former students) stand out as gained through a well-designed and practical curriculum.

The webinar includes two sessions. Following up was business matching where companies are categorized and grouped with their counterparts.
