Vietnam International Furniture Fair (VIFF 2019)
The 2019 Vietnam International Furniture Fair (VIFF) was held from November 27-30 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City. The event was coordinated by the Vietnam Forestry Administration (http://tongcuclamnghiep.gov.vn/) in partnership with Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA) and Taiwan Furniture Manufactures Association (TFMA).
To ensure the event goes as smoothly as possible, AKT selected the interpreters who have a clear line in interpreting topics related to furniture and building.
More than 100 companies with 500 booths offered a wide variety of items from bedroom sets, dining sets, kitchen cabinets, floors, office furniture, outdoor furniture, interior furniture, decorative accessories and fabrics, hardware and fittings, and more.
The exhibition also included conferences and seminars:
- "Promoting foreign investment in Vietnam's wood-processing industry" aimed at helping Vietnam-based businesses find international investors.
- "PEFC / VFCS Certification: Demand, Supply and Benefits," which brought up for discussion a case study using PEFC certification to meet market demand. The conference also provided a forum for related parties to discuss the benefits of PEFC certification, solutions to resolve difficulties in sourcing PEFC-certified timber, creation of the Vietnam Forest Certification Program, and the potential of VFCS / PEFC-certified domestic timber.
- "Preparing plant productivity from concept – construction – selection of equipment – IT implementation", coordinated by the BIFA Technology Department.
Following a day filled with interesting knowledge of wood processing and export, AKT's interpreting team made the grade and collected customer praise for quality interpreting service in real-time.
VIFF 2019 was an opportunity for domestic and foreign companies to showcase products, share lessons learned, transfer technology, enhance exposure and presence in the Vietnamese and regional markets, as well as increase business performance.
